Once again, top results in pension fund comparison: Profond wins awards for highest interest rate and best return on investment
This year Profond has achieved a triple first in the pension fund comparison by the journals SonntagsZeitung and Finanz und Wirtschaft: As last year, Profond wins the award for “Highest interest rate over 10 years” and “Best return on investment over 10 years” in the category “Semi-autonomous Joint and Collective Foundations”. Added to this is award for the “Highest interest rate over 3 years” in 2020. The pension fund comparison was carried out among 28 freely accessible joint and collective foundations.
With an interest rate of 2.68% over 10 years (2010–2019) and 2.83% over 3 years (2017–2019), Profond impressively reaffirmed its excellent results of recent years. Now for the twelfth time, Profond has again taken the top position for interest rates over 10 years. The collective foundation also received an award for the best investment return over 10 years. From 2010–2019, Profond achieved a return of 5.28%, putting it in first place as in the previous year.
Laurent Schlaefli, CEO of Profond, sees the awards as an incentive: “We are delighted to be ranked first in three of the five disciplines examined. For us, the awards confirm our long-term investment strategy with a high proportion of equities and real estate. They motivate us to give our best, especially in this economically difficult year. We’d like our policyholders to continue to benefit from above-average interest rates and benefits in the future.”
The consulting firm Weibel Hess & Partner carried out the annual pension fund comparison on behalf of SonntagsZeitung and Finanz und Wirtschaft.
