Top results in pension fund comparison: Profond wins awards for highest interest rate and best return on investment
This year Profond has achieved a double first in the pension fund comparison by the journals SonntagsZeitung and Finanz und Wirtschaft: In the category “Semi-autonomous Joint and Collective Foundations” in 2019 it won both the award for “Highest interest rate over 10 years” and for “Best return on investment over 10 years”. More than 20 collective and joint foundations took part in the comparison.
With an interest rate of 2.53 percent over 10 years (2009-2018), the collective foundation was able to impressively reaffirm the excellent results of recent years. Now for the eleventh time, Profond has again taken the top position for interest rates. Profond also received an award for the best return on investment over 10 years (2009-2018). This was a rate of 5.72 percent. Profond thus ranks first among the semi-autonomous joint and collective foundations in two of the five disciplines examined.
Laurent Schlaefli, Managing Director of Profond: “We are very pleased about these results. We see the awards as a clear confirmation of our long-term investment strategy with a high proportion of equities and real estate. They encourage us to do our best every day so that our policyholders can continue to benefit from above-average interest rates and benefits in future.”
The consultancy firm Weibel Hess & Partner carried out the annual pension fund comparison on behalf of SonntagsZeitung and Finanz und Wirtschaft. The coveted awards were presented to the winners in Zurich on 4 June 2019.
