Profond once again took 1st place in the pension fund comparison by SonntagsZeitung and Finanz und Wirtschaft for the highest interest rate over ten years (2012–2021) – and did so for the 14th time. This makes us the best pension fund in Switzerland in this category.

With an interest rate of 3.25 percent over ten years (2012–2021), Profond was able to impressively repeat its excellent results of recent years.

“We are proud of the award, as it demonstrates the success of our long-term investment strategy,” said Laurent Schlaefli, Managing Chief Executive Officer of Profond. “Thanks to the investment strategy, which has a large proportion of equities and real estate, we generate sustainably high returns and are able to offer our insured persons an above-average interest rate. This paid off particularly well in 2021: The return was 12.8 per cent, so that we were able to pay interest on the retirement assets at an exceptional 8 per cent. In addition, our current retirement pensioners benefited from a one-time supplementary pension of CHF 1000,” Schlaefli continued.

Profond sees the award as confirmation of their record and as motivation to continue to give their best, so that the insured can enjoy excellent benefits and, as a result, also enjoy secure financial prosperity in the third phase of life.

In the pension fund comparison by SonntagsZeitung and Finanz und Wirtschaft, the awards for the best collective foundations in Switzerland were presented for the 17th time. The award was given to those pension funds that made it to the top in the pension fund comparison carried out by the consulting firm Weibel Hess & Partner AG.
