Profond Investment Foundation is an independent unit wholly owned by Profond Pension Fund and manages the directly held real estate of Profond. With around CHF 2.2 billion, these account for 20.7% of total fixed assets (as at 30.9.2023).

Our investment strategy aims not only to generate a profitable return, but also to take responsibility according to ESG criteria. Therefore, our investment decisions are long-term and take into account the entire life cycle of each property.

This publication shows our efforts to date and those planned in the area of sustainability, such as

• determination of the carbon footprint, the CO₂ reduction path and the ESG rating across the real estate portfolio,
• the implementation of specific measures such as the installation of photovoltaic systems, charging stations for electric vehicles and measures to reduce water and
• the elaboration of sustainability principles and the planned specification of precise criteria.
