Once again top results in the pension fund comparison: Profond wins the award for the highest interest rate over 10 years and the innovation award and belongs to the best pension funds of Switzerland.
In the pension fund comparison of SonntagsZeitung and Finanz und Wirtschaft, Profond ranks first place for the highest interest rate over ten years (2014–2023) for the 16th time and second place for the highest investment return over 3 years (2021-2023). We were also honoured with the Innovation Award this year. We received the award for expanding our website with information on specific life events and for developing a platform with educational videos and online quizzes to explain the complex topic of occupational retirement benefits in a simple and fun way.
Christian Fuchs, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Profond, accepted the awards at the ceremony and was delighted with the success: "The awards are both recognition and an incentive. The very good results for the highest interest rate and the investment return confirm that we are successful in the long term with our investment strategy and can therefore offer our insured persons an above-average interest rate. The Innovation Award shows that it is worth looking for new ways and formats to make the topic of pension funds understandable for everyone. We are pleased that we are on the right track here and will continue to do our best every day so that our insured persons can continue to benefit from top performance in the future".
With an average annual interest rate of 3.2% over 10 years (2014–2023) and 3.9% since its inception in 1991, Profond is well above average compared to the market. This shows the long-term success of our real value strategy with a high share of equities and real estate.
The second pillar makes up the largest portion of the private wealth of the working population in Switzerland. However, surveys of our insured persons have shown that there is little knowledge about the second pillar. To close this knowledge gap, Profond has set up a platform with learning videos and online quizzes.
